Abstract Artist Jaison Cianelli

At the core of my work is a belief that in the end all things balance out harmoniously no matter how strange the journey. The joy is that by composing images, sometimes at random, something magical and unexpected happens. Beauty always arises when I keep moving forward. I hope that my compositions express the beauty of embracing life’s journey and working towards harmony.

Jaison Cianelli

Jaison Cianelli (SpiralJ) is an internationally collected artist residing in Bedford, New Hampshire.   He is known for creating abstract art inspired by nature, expressed in a unique energetic style glowing with life.  Jaison was born near Boston, Massachusetts in 1980. He received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design (BSID) from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2002.  His early work was comprised of abstract landscape paintings that were exhibited at a number of fine art galleries. They were expressionistic paintings inspired by inner emotions and the beauty found in the New England landscape. Eventually Jaison embraced modern methods as his art evolved from traditional painting into digital mixed media art.

Through observing the natural world I hope to produce art forms that stir emotions and awakening the creative mind. I am interested in creating soothing colors, waves of light, and layered movement that evoke feelings and positively impact the senses. I explore both motion and rest, liveliness and tranquility; the ebb and flow of the constant and ever changing rhythms in life.

His unique abstract art is created by using the combined mediums and techniques of acrylic paint, photography, and digital art. When composing his art he takes from various abstracted images, sometimes at random, and creates by layering through intuitive exploration. For Jaison there is great enjoyment in this process and he hopes that his compositions express the beauty of embracing this journey. Jaison Cianelli’s abstract images and fine art prints are always in high demand, transforming homes and work spaces with positive energy and contemporary appeal around the world.

Mixed Media Process

To start, he builds up a library of abstracted artwork images that are used as layers for his art. This includes poured on paint texture, digital artwork, algorithmic fractal generated images, AI generated images, and digitally altered photographs.  Within these images are often recognizable elements of nature such as earthly textures, cascading light, spirals, flower pedals, feathers, fluid water elements, and more.

My art is connecting with the creative expression that manifests by being grateful for life and observing the natural world. To connect I feel incredibly happy. Through my art I hope to inspire others and share the positive energy I receive.

From there, Cianelli combines various layers together in Adobe Photoshop in an open and free way.  In the initial stages a creative vision is formed spontaneously and the direction of the art unfolds naturally without rigid thought of what the art should be.  Once a clear artistic direction is chosen the artwork is fine-tuned and brought to life.  The high resolution image is then used to produce a print onto a multitude of surfaces.

Inspiration is all around us. I still get excited when I can experiment and use all the different tools available to me. There is always an element of surprise in the manipulation and layering of images. The process of creation often goes down its own meandering path making each one special.
